天壇周辺

《天壇公園》　（ディエンタンゴンユェン）

五穀豊穣を祈願した祭壇

明・清代の皇帝が五穀豊穣を天に祈った場所。祈年殿、皇窮宇、園丘壇などがあり、1998年には世界遺産にも登録されている。三層の白大理石の基壇の上に、釘や梁を使わずに建てられた木造の祈年殿は、天安門と並び、北京のシンボル的建築物。内部には、四季を表す龍井柱と呼ばれる柱がある。先祖の位牌を置いていた皇窮宇はその周りを囲む回音壁に耳をつけると反対側から壁に向かってささやいた言葉がすぐそばで話しているように聞こえるという造り。現在は柵がされていて試すことはできない。園丘壇は皇帝が最上段に立って天に祈りを捧げた場所で、現在は基壇のみが残され、周囲は公園として整備されている。
